CallipygianGrab 2.0
Product Overview
CallipygianGrab 2.0 is a currently a research experiment in using Bayesian techniques and neural networks to browse the web automatically the way a person would—visiting interesting links while ignoring irrelevant ones and downloading images and other assets of interest.
Fast scanning of Websites for Images, MP3s, PDFs, and other file formats
In addition to the latest AI techniques, CallipygianGrab 2.0 incorporates other features to make quick work of scanning websites:
- Support for HTTP 1.1+ persistent connections
- “Early” out algorithm only reads enough of an image file to determine if it meets minimum requirements, and aborts the download if it doesn’t. For example if you only want to view images at 800x600 or larger, CallipygianGrab 2.0 only needs to read the start of the JPEG header file to discover the dimensions of the file.
- Knowledge of all popular web generation and photo-album generation software directory layout schemes—so we don’t waste time downloading the same image as a thumbnail, screen resolution, and full-resolution image
Learns what you like
As images are downloaded, you can review them on a full-featured photo album screen.
For each image you can choose whether to keep it, discard it, or stop searching that site (if you’re searching multiple sites):
- As you keep images, the referring page text and link are analyzed. When pages that are similar are encountered in the future, images and assets on those pages are prioritized
- As you discard images, the referring page text and link are analyzed. Future pages showing statistically significant similarities are deprioritized.
- Accepted images are analyzed with a neural network feature analyzer. Future images showing similarities are prioritized.
Stable and Reliable
- Written by researchers familiar with the shrink-wrap software market, search engine internals, and image processing techniques.
- Runs in background, automatically throttling load and CPU usage when there’s an interactive user on the machine
- You can stop, start, and pause searches, and save searches in progress to continue them later.
