Callipygian Grab 2.0, User’s Guide

Automatic Site Type Classifier

When you specify a starting place to Callipygian Grab 2.0X from the locations panel—whether from your browser history, a text file containing URLs, or a directly entered URL, the software performs a preliminary analysis on the link to determine what type of link it is:

Figure 1 -- The locations panel, with a direct-entered URL

A link can be any of the following:

-          A normal link

o       For normal links, the site starting at the location is searched. CallipygianGrab 2.0X will not follow external links on that site (unless that behavior is specifically selected from the Options panel)

-          A link site

o       This is a page that primarily contains links to other sites. If CallipygianGrab 2.0X detects this, it will ask you if this is a link site, and if so it will only follow external links and not search the primary site. For example, if you gave a Yahoo! or dmoz directory page, then CallipygianGrab2.0 will search from the links on that page

-          A search engine

o       If CallipygianGrab 2.0 detects a search engine result in a Browser History search, it will search only the results on that page. Additionally, if it’s a search engine that CallipygianGrab 2.0 recognizes, it will continue the search until it has loaded all the results for that query.
